Today I went back to work. 34 weeks pregnant and working don't really mix! I feel like my stomach has no more room to stretch. This baby is straight out in front of me...not sideways, so it is stretching me in places that Anissa never went. Ugghhhhh....Not ready to give birth, but the stretching is starting to hurt.

Anissa's "new" room

Phase 1 of turning Anissa's room into a "big girl" room is done. Arturo and I just finished painting her room. Now we are waiting for the matress, the twin bed, and dresser that should be coming in soon. I can't believe how fast she is growing.

We went out to take some family pictures (with the belly) but you can't even see the belly. However, Manny took some great family photos that we fell in love with. Anissa was so comfortable in front of the camera this time (scary). We ended up in Palos Verdes taking these shots. Great view, great lighting, and great photographer!

Celebrating Grandma Vicky's Bday

We went out to the Santa Monica Pier to celebrate Grandma Vicky's birthday along with Anthony. This was the first time Anissa got on a Ferris Wheel (which she absolutely loved). We were amazed at how NOT afraid she is of heights. She also got on the boat thing that swings back and forth...yeah, this one scared her a bit. We will not be going on any of those rides any time soon.

Vancouver, Canada

Below are some pictures of our trip to Vancouver, Canada. This was the first time Anissa got on an airplane, and she did fantastic both ways! We even got a compliment from a gentleman. It is really good knowing that she is going to be a great traveler. During this trip, Anissa did a lot of FIRSTS - rode on a bus, a train, and a plane. She was such a good little girl. We traveled to Vancouver to celebrate the wedding of our friends Karly and Todd. On top of this being a beautiful city, it was a beautiful wedding. We had such a great time. My parents traveled with us - so it helped a whole lot - considering I am 7.5 months pregnant. They had a great time as well. We did a whole lot of walking so we came back really tired. Beach with Sofia Serrano

We went to the beach with Sofia and her mommy! The girls had a ton of fun. I love seeing these two interacting. They are going to be great friends. I wish we lived closer to each other.

Yes, we made it! Today we celebrated our 5 yr. anniversary by going out to dinner. It has been quite a ride to say the least. we are know expecting baby #2 and could not be more ecstatic. These past 5 years have been a great learning experience. I love my husband and my daughter a ton and can't wait to share all this love with another baby.

We headed out to the beach today to spend some family time. We had a great breakfast at Sharky's and then walked out to the beach. As you can see, Anissa found a sea dew that she just had to get on top of. Not sure who it belonged to (we thinking the lifeguard) but she had a blast getting on it.

Pumpkin Patch

We took Anissa to her first pumpkin patch today! It was fun seeing her feeding the animals and trying to carry a pumpkin. My brother and parents joined in the fun...we celebrated my brother's 37th Birthday with dinner after the patch.

We all went to the beach today and had some fun on the swing. Anissa loved it so much she smiled the entire time. We can't believe how big she continues to grow. we love watching her experience new things.

The family went out to walk around the Santa Monica promenade. It was an interesting escapade to say the least. We ran into some strange people at dinner. Anissa had a good time looking at all the performers and the lights. It was nice to get out as a family.

Lemus BBQ

My brother & nephew Sammy came up to LA from SD to visit for an afternoon. We had a last minute BBQ to celebrate. Here are pictures of my nephews (Sammy & Julian-who is off to MIT next year) and Anissa. The bottom picture of my brother Ruben and Anissa.

Visiting Grandma Vicky

We went to visit Grandma Vicky & Rana today. While on the visit Arturo and I went to go see Slumdog Millionaire while Anissa stayed back! Thank you for babysitting! We really appreciate it.

John & Eva's Wedding

We drove to San Jose to celebrate the wedding of John & Eva. Anissa did so well on the drive. To my surprise, she slept through most of it. Our friends, Delfina and & Brian hosted us for the weekend and Anissa was able to meet baby DeMarco! They had so much fun together.

Look at how cute she looks in her dress. Arturo was in the wedding so he looked real sharp in his suit!

Clarissa's First Birthday Party

We attended Clarissa's first birthday party today! It was so much seeing Ethan and Clarissa and Cindy with her big belly ready for Baby #2 (It's a boy!). Anissa loves parties!

We brought out the jumper for Anissa today! We thought that she was ready to enjoy it now. And lo and behold, she was! She got in and was totally excited to be in something different besides a swing. She was not able to turn herlself just yet but she liked being able to be upright by herself (without mom and dad).

Lunch with the Girls

The de la Torre and Palos-Rodriguez girls came to visit Anissa for lunch! Anissa loves being carried by Arianna. Can't wait for her to be a babysitter!

Tummy Time

Here are some pictures of our baby girl. She is growing up so quick! She just found her toes and loves to play with them. It's so fun to see her become aware of her surroundings!

Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving this year at both sides of the family. Needless to say, we were stuffed by the end of the day. I am not even sure how much dessert we had. Anissa was up almost the entire time (she does not like to miss a beat). My brother, Ruben was able to meet her for the first time! Anissa was such a good girl that she even slept 8 hours that night! Wow!

Rolling Over

Anissa began to roll over. I couldn't believe my eyes. I put her down on her tummy time mat to strengthen her neck muscles...but lo and behold, she wanted to turn over. So I placed her on her tummy again (just to make sure it was not a fluke) and she did it again. Since I was the only one home, I wanted to video tape it for Arturo...Enjoy! You can't help but cheer her on!
